An inexperienced man on an inappropriate boat…

Canon John was so impressed by Geoff Anderson’s marathon rowing feat that he asked Geoff to tell everyone about it…

I left Lechlade on Sunday 8th of September and completed the 127 mile row to Teddington in eleven and a half days, sleeping each night on the completely inappropriate boat, with the aquadynamics of a skip!

On the way I raised over £5000 for HorsebackUK, a charity set up to empower service personnel and veterans suffering from life-changing injuries and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, and to aid them on their road to recovery. Using horsemanship and exposure to the natural environment participants gain self confidence and self esteem amongst people who have experienced similar trauma. Take a look at www.horseback.org.uk .
I visited them in the Highlands last year and I found it to be a truly inspirational charity carrying out amazing work.
