Fundraising updates

Thank you very much to all those who supported Christmas Appeals for The Berkshire Women’s Refuge, Christian Aid (Card on the Tree) and The Children’s Society (Christingle Service). Any further details will be posted on the CMG Notice Board in SJCC when available.

Christmas hamper draw – Congratulations to Carolyn Fox, winning number 79. £90 was raised for the church flower fund. Many thanks to everyone for their support.

Many thanks to all who supported The Children’s Society via the Christingle Service. Donations totaled £547-87. Thank you to all who made the Christingles and organised the service held on Christmas Eve as well as those who made donations.

Zip Line Challenge thanks

Thank you all so much for supporting my successful zip line challenge in N.Wales

I have raised over  £1400 .00 to date.

Atomic Rapture concert thanks

Thanks to all those who helped with or attended the Atomic Rapture concert held in the Memorial Hall on Sat 8th Feb to raise funds for the St James Building Appeal. A great time was had by all and over £650 was raised towards the repairs needed in the church.

Card on the Tree & One Card thanks

Thank you for supporting Card on the Tree at SJ & One Card at SMSJ in aid of Christian Aid’s Christmas Appeal.

Your generous donations will help to fund programmes for women to use their God-given gifts to escape poverty and to provide more basic necessities for their families. £375 was raised at SJ (of which £248 was gift-aided) and £107-50 was raised at SMSJ (of which £10 was gift-aided).

A splendid Parish total of £482-50. Thank you very much.

Children’s Society Thanks

Many thanks to all who made donations at the Christingle Services in December.

The Parish total was £1,317 of which £505 was gift aided.

Traidcraft thanks

Many thanks to all those who supported Traidcraft. Sales of Christmas cards and other items were £192.95.

Buying from Traidcraft helps to support fair trade with producers and suppliers so they are better able to provide for their families.

Poppy Appeal thanks

Thank you very much for helping with the appeal.

Without your help they wouldn’t be able to continue their vital welfare and benevolent work.

Patronal Festival Thanks

A BIG thank you to everyone who supported our Patronal Festival Weekend. The quiz on Saturday night was very well attended and we had lots of lovely compliments about the evening.

Sunday was warm and sunny when the tower was open and lots of cream teas were consumed.

Very many thanks again to everyone who helped make this weekend so enjoyable and successful and we are delighted to say that the profit over the weekend was £1,867.40 a wonderful amount for Parish Funds.

Mothers’ Union thanks

Mothers’ Union Many thanks to everyone who supported our recent event.

Your generosity enabled us to make £71.50 profit for our MU charities.
