Short film – ‘The Bench’

Short film “The Bench” written, directed and edited by Anne Massey of Reading Film and Video Makers club during the summer of 2017 in and around St. James’ churchyard…

This film won the summer team challenge competition against 8 other entries, and also received a nomination for originality.

Confirmation Candidates – Life of Christ at the Wintershall Estate

As part of their preparation, we once again took our Confirmation Candidates to the Wintershall Estate near Guildford for the annual open air production of the Life of Christ. Rowena Green, whose daughter was one of the candidates and who joined the trip has sent her thanks and collection of pictures from the day:

Extraordinarily emotional day with the confirmation candidates at Wintershall experiencing The Life of Christ. A six hour play in 3 acts, set outdoors on the Wintershell estate. Very powerful and moving. Made extra special by the company of special friends. Thank you Canon Julie Ramsbottom and St James for organising. We are definitely going back to see their Nativity in December.

Dave has spoken on creation care at numerous conferences, colleges and churches in over thirty countries across five continents. Dave and his wife founded A Rocha UK in 2001, an environmental organisation with a Christian Ethos, and Dave now serves as the National Director.
