Our new parish logo

Welcome to our new logo, designed by Rev Canon John Edwards.

Its symbolism is as follows:
* the outer ring (or halo) includes the names of the two churches which are united by the date of union and the lightning flash of St James and St John, the sons of thunder.
* the inner circle incorporates the familiar cross of Saint Mary and St John’s, with the scallop shell of St James.

Many thanks to all those who took the time and trouble to put forward proposals – congratulations to John for having such hidden talent.

Patronal Festival report

Patronal Festival Sunday. For those energetic folks who climbed the tower on Sunday afternoon, the warm sunshine and clear skies could not have been better for the spectacular views. There was a steady queue all afternoon both for the tower visits and cream teas. The afternoon was also very profitable adding another £647.54 towards the conservation fund. Many thanks to everyone who came and helped or participated.
